I am originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. The Home of Bayou Classic. The Home of Famed Mardi Gras. The Home of Who Dat Nation.

Beside being a scholar, I’m a gamer, avid reader, and traveler. I love to learn languages especially signed languages. My lived experienced taught me that language, identity, and race are always interconnected. This inspired me to create my favorite motto is, “Being Deaf doesn’t make you any less Black.”
